and in all reality besides from the covert type gameplay they are not similar. MGS always has so much crazy in depth story and cut scenes going on. Splinter Cell is more action based to me. Just the meat and potatoes and skip all the story element for the most part.
At the end of the day if your a MGS fan its not 100% certain you will enjoy splinter cell and if your a splinter cell fan doesnt mean 100% probability that you will like MGS.
It is fine to jump in multiplayer here and there for certain titles, but the industry is making one very big mistake to believe gamers want to be forced to play multiplayer. That just may make me grow out of gaming if it were to come true.
not many games for the system of are interest to me. I just want a great golf simulator to play and I'd be happy for a decent amount of time. A golf game that is the full package. Above average graphics for a Wii title + great motion contol ability. I have been let down by tiger and the silly arcade golf games thus far. Also can we get a decent fishing game?

there is great debate on this issue. If there is indeed a scaler SONY has blocked it for some reason and has not even given devs full use of this mystery chip. Not trying to rip on you or anything. this is a very true article. I had this issue at first as well. It was the reason i waited so long to pick up a ps3. When i finally did pick up a ps3 it was used for blu-ray movies only because most of the games I wanted to play could not scale to 1080. just started locking up during the initial boot up today, after three days of playing with no problems. it was after the "logging on" mission that it started. Thanks for the info about signing out of psn to solve the problem.
the way i got it running was ejecting the disc, booting up another disc based game ( i started ut3) then placing gta back in and then it has always booted up after that. no clue why though

both versions are having this problem sh*t head. The ps3 version is also getting a online issue as well, meaning crashing games and not being able to connect at all. i have all the consoles and am not a pimple faced fanboy with no friends and whos never had his willy wet before, such as yourself. grow the F*ck up. both consoles have different strengths and weaknesses and both versions are bound to play slightly different.
